Have you ever heard of GEMS Girls’ Clubs, a unique ministry specifically focused on creating girls clubs throughout the country? When I was in Grand Rapids, Michigan I had a chance to visit their new location and see all the work God is doing including providing an amazing new space for girls to gather. I had so much fun reconnecting with one of my first ministry coaches, Cindy Bultema, their CEO and meeting in person @karalepley, their Program Director along with so many gifted staff member who are excited about ministering to girls and their families.
They are committed to equipping leaders to disciple girls, sowing deep into their hearts the truth that they are loved by God.
They have amazing resources, including a subscription box that Loved and Cherished has been included in.
They also have an annual sisterhood summit, which is so fun and has included great speakers like @bobgoff, @tonijcollier, @katherine.wolf, @carissnider and my devotional co-author, @lynncowell and myself. The Summit is still available to view online if you’re interested in learning more about being equipped to lead a girls group or minister to girls in your sphere of influence. We are so grateful to @zonderkidz for once again sponsoring this years summit.
Kids today with the current emotional struggles they are facing need more opportunities to be mentored by adults, experience community with other girls where it’s safe to share their struggles, be taught the truth of God’s word, and morning, and learn to walk confidently in the purposes that God has for them.
I am so grateful for the youth leader @resonate_life_church where my kids look forward to youth every Wednesday. They are about to head that way now. If your child doesn’t have a small group, I was encouraging a parent today that this is one battle you should fight. If you can’t find one, start one. I did when my daughter was 10 because I wanted it to be with her school friends or reach out to GEMS. They have developed everything you need to get you started.
