Good morning! It’s 6 AM in Texas and I’ve been up for about 30 minutes praying, journaling and about to do my devotional.
In my new journal format that I’m using from my own current life coach, i’m thinking of three feelings every day I would like to experience during that day. As a professional counselor, it’s easy to get swept up in the feelings of others while I’m working in the office if I’m not intentional. As a mom, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and mirror the feelings of my grumpy children some mornings.
Today let’s talk about the feelings we want to feel, the scriptures or thoughts we want to think in order for those feelings to be manifested in our bodies, and how we can be intentional about not being emotional sponges are mirrors of others but reflections of God at work in us.
My three feelings for today are loving, organized and inspiring. By the way, I am not naturally organized but I have decided if I keep thinking I’m a mess then I’m a mess then I’m going to continue to have messes around.
If this sounds a little new age to you, I will be honest. I always put “in Christ” in front of my feelings because that is the only way I can usually manifest something different than my natural human bent. It is by tapping into the power source like branches to a vine. (John 15)
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
